1973 Oldsmobile regency 98 Rental Added in North Carolina

Old Cop Cars has added a 1973 Oldsmobile Regency 98 to its network listings through USA Movie Cars. This gold sedan sits in Clayton, North Carolina, and productions working in the state can now locate it for picture car rental work without searching outside the region. The vehicle offers producers a period-correct 1970s luxury option that stands out from typical patrol vehicles yet still fits the broader range of North Carolina film car needs.

Spotlight on this 1973 Oldsmobile regency 98

The listing shows a gold exterior with minor vintage patina and a pristine red interior. It is a four-door sedan with automatic transmission and gasoline power. These details give crews a clean, usable interior for dialogue scenes or static close-ups while the exterior supplies authentic 1970s background texture.

Producers can place the car as a main character hero prop or simply as background dressing. The owner requires that the vehicle stay in non-stunt, non-wreckable use only. The owner travels with the car and serves as the mechanical handler and precision driver on set, so productions must supply full COI plus the standard handler day-rate.

Old Cop Cars and the North Carolina Picture Car Market

Old Cop Cars focuses on law enforcement vehicles, yet it also lists supporting civilian cars that round out period street scenes. Clayton, North Carolina, sits within easy reach of many production hubs across the state, which makes this 1973 Oldsmobile Regency 98 a practical North Carolina picture car rental choice for crews already working in the area.

USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as North Carolina Picture Cars to help productions find local picture vehicles. This network approach reduces travel time for crews and keeps more North Carolina movie car rentals inside the state rather than importing vehicles from farther away.

History of the 1973 Oldsmobile regency 98

The 1973 model year placed the Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency at the top of the brand’s full-size lineup. These cars were built as large sedans with generous interior room and a smooth ride suited to highway cruising. The Regency trim added extra interior appointments that appealed to buyers looking for comfort over sport.

During the 1970s, full-size Oldsmobiles like the Ninety-Eight served as everyday family transportation and executive transport. Their long hoods, formal rooflines, and chrome accents became visual shorthand for the era in film and television. The body style and scale remain recognizable today when productions need an unforced 1970s presence on screen.

North Carolina Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews filming in North Carolina can use this sedan for establishing shots of suburban neighborhoods or downtown streets set in the 1970s. Its size and color allow it to register clearly in wide shots without competing with marked patrol cars that Old Cop Cars also supplies.

The vehicle works equally well for character-driven scenes that require interior dialogue or close-ups of period dashboard details. Still photography, music videos, commercials, and branded content shoots can place it as a static prop or rolling background element. Event planners have also used similar large sedans to create 1970s-themed displays without any driving requirements.
