1989 Mercury Grand Marquis Rental Added in Florida

Old Cop Cars has added a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis to its Florida picture car rental inventory through the USA Movie Cars network. The vehicle sits in Deltona, Florida, giving crews working in central Florida a straightforward option for a period-correct four-door sedan finished in creme with a brown interior.

Spotlight on this 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis

The listing shows a beige exterior on an all-original 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis GS sedan. It carries the four-door body style and automatic transmission that were standard for the model in that year. The brown interior remains intact, and the car is presented without visible modifications that would alter its stock appearance.

Producers can use the sedan’s clean, factory look for scenes that need an everyday 1980s vehicle. The creme color reads as understated on camera, which fits undercover or background roles where a marked patrol car would draw too much attention. Its four-door layout also works for dialogue shots that require passengers to enter and exit easily.

Old Cop Cars and the Florida Picture Car Market

Old Cop Cars focuses on law-enforcement vehicles, and this Grand Marquis carries the “Police Car Undercover” and “Police Car Vintage” tags that align with that focus. The car’s location in Deltona, Florida, places it within reach of productions filming in Orlando, Tampa, and surrounding counties. USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as Florida Picture Cars to help productions find local picture vehicles without cross-country transport.

Crews filming in Florida can contact Old Cop Cars to check the vehicle’s fit for a given project. The network connection means the same listing appears on both national and state-level directories, which reduces duplicate searching when a production moves between regions.

History of the 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis

The 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis was a full-size sedan built on Ford’s rear-wheel-drive platform. It served both private owners and fleet buyers during the late 1980s, a period when many law-enforcement agencies still relied on similar large sedans for unmarked work. The GS trim level offered the basic equipment package that kept the car simple and durable for daily use.

By the end of the decade, the Grand Marquis had become a familiar sight on American roads. Its boxy profile and chrome accents place it firmly in the 1980s visual language that productions often seek for establishing shots or character vehicles set in that era. The model’s long production run also means replacement parts remain relatively accessible for ongoing maintenance.

Florida Picture Car Rental Uses

A vintage Grand Marquis in creme works for period scenes set in the late 1980s or early 1990s. It can serve as a character’s daily driver, an undercover detective’s ride, or a background vehicle in street-level establishing shots. The four-door configuration supports scenes that require multiple actors to interact inside the car.

Still photographers and music-video crews can position the sedan in parking lots, driveways, or along Florida roadways to add authentic period texture. Commercial and branded-content projects that need a non-flashy 1980s vehicle can use the car without the visual weight of a marked patrol unit. Event planners have also placed similar sedans at themed gatherings to reinforce a specific decade.
